VS only licence
Up to now I coul ddevelop everything in Visual Studio. With the new licence-model it just became to expensive.
Actually I do not need XamarinStudio/Email Support/Any other business feature.
The only thing I need is the Visual Studio plugin :-)

Visual Studio support at the INDIE level
I would really like to develop apps with Xamarin using Visual Studio, but $999 per platform is a bit much for the small/micro business to swallow. I really wish you would consider implementing the Visual Studio integration at the INDIE level which would allow small businesses and startups a more affordable way to use your plugin with Visual Studio. Maybe name it INDIE/STARTUP instead.

Increase the starter binary size to more than 32K
I think removing the limit for simulator and device builds would be great. This would allow the product to be tested for a full application, then the limit could be put back in place for builds that will be distributed on an app store. 32K is still very tiny, maybe something like 128K would be better.

Make Object ID while debugging
I would like to be able to right-click an object in the Locals pad and tell Xamarin Studio to assign it a unique integer ID. Then whenever that object appears elsewhere in execution, it will show the same ID and I will be able to tell that it's the same object.

XAML support for MonoDroid and MonoTouch
XAML support for MonoDroid and MonoTouch, I would like to see some basic support for XAML syntax maybe part of a PCL initiative. Maybe the reflexion intensive of XAML is hard on the CPU but maybe just a compiling pass to target c# code from xaml could be quite ok.

Support split screen with different files in Xamarin Studio
One thing I love in other IDE's is to be able to work on different files at once with a split screen, this feature is not in MonoDevelop neither in the brand new Xamarin Studio

Don't write project changes out when files are read only
Right now, Xamarin Studio ignores the writable bit on csproj and sln and write out changes anyway. This interacts badly with some version control software like TFS.

Make the 30-day trial permanent
The trial is already enough "crippled". The apps are only running for a day and a splash makes it impossible to put the apps on store. So it would at least be nice to work indefinitely with the trial. 300 $ is a steep pricetag for students like me, who love mobile development and C#. Alternatively bring out a free educational version;)

Please bring Xamarin Studio's 'vi mode' feature to the next level!
While I find that Xamarin Studio is an overall fantastic product, I believe that the current iteration of the 'vi mode' feature is really subpar. In fact the other day I finally gave up out of frustation and turned it off. Like many other developers I use ViEmu in Visual Studio and vi/MacVim when working on everything non-.NET, which is quite a lot these days (actually I use ViEmu even in SQL Server Management Studio). As any vi/vim user will testify, being forced to a 'standard' edit mode makes for a terrible and frustrating XS experience. Since a basic implementation…

Xaml
Xamarin.iOS
Please introduce UI DataBinding, Data Template, Converter features like Xaml.
Because these are the key winning point for MVVM pattern. It also follow the main goal of Xamarin to write once run everywhere.7 votes -
Debian / Ubuntu Support
Please, if there are lots of linux flavours, you don´t need to support all of them but please instead add support of one of these distributions. Windows and MAC only are not free itself and android users are often using linux to develop.

Visual Studio is NOT the best IDE in the world. IntelliJ IDEA is. Please make a good Xamarin plugin for IntelliJ IDEA

why would you make the intro tasky program restricted to paywall users?
if i cant try the starter program with a working sample, why would I consider buying it? if if a hello tasky program is too big for the starter, what good is it anyway?

what is with the bait and switch? an update is installed and suddenly xamarin studio would not run my apps.
I was going to get a VS license once I as convinced xamarin was a good android dev option, but this has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Website enhancement suggestions
I love the new look website. Here are a couple of suggestions that would make my life (and hopefully others') easier when using it:-
1. Please provide a link to "Account" in the footer from every page - not just "store.xamarin.com"
2. In the "Computers" section listing the registered machines, please add the machine name. "Mac workstation" and a static site IP address is insufficient to identify the actual computer that is activated. Even in the installation UUID would help. Thanks!

Dark template for the entire window
If I choose a syntax highlight like monokai that is quite dark it stands in large contrast to the rest of the program which is light, this contrast quickly gets annoying.
It should be possible to have the choice between (at least) two GUI themes, a dark and a light.3 votes
