Just like in VS 2010 you have the ability to reset the environment and also import/export settings. I had an issue where I had to manually strip settings out of the .SLN file and also rename MD policies and folders to get it reset. Please consider an option to get MD back to the factory defaults and offer the option to reset solution based options as well.
