  1. Xamarin.Forms.Native

Once you are a Xamarin.Forms developer it is hard to go Xamarin.Native as you have to understand how the architecture works of each platform, what is the best practices, the names of the components and so on...

I was thinking that day and wondering how nice it could be if we can write android or/and ios apps natively using our knowledge of Xaml and MVVM and having access to all components that is offered by these platforms including all the properties.
So this is my idea , Xamarin.Forms.Native ... or a better name  .

    More details can be found…

            • Add Geolocation (current position and watch position)

While the map component can geocode and reverse geocode, and one can "show position" (at least on iOS), even a web browser can get its current position. This is a basic feature that is available on all the platforms and should be readily available in XF.

              • New warning on compilation for X version of API that doesn't have the code on runtime and disable component on each version affected.

Warn on compilation when X versión of API doesn't have the code to be executed on runtime for Android. Disable the component with a message to user, message can be like "Don't available on your Android version". All of this automated.

                Resume of work:

                1. On compilation warn all affected versions of API of each piece of code that will has the problema.
                2. Automate the component to be disabled for those API versions, and show message like "Don't available on your Android version"

                • Create an interface in Visual Studio which represents the view, code behind, view model, and navigation.

I'm constantly flipping between views, code behind, and the view models. I wish it was easier to maneuver in Visual Studio. In the way the code behind is a sub object of the view, a new object should encompass both the view and view model. Putting view models in a separate folder makes code navi difficult IMO. Similarly, there should be a visual studio tool that lets you drag and drop the object which ecompasses the view, code behind, and view model into any appropriate navigation schemes.

                  • unified approach to multi-platform development

I think it would be great for developers if Xamarin adds a unified approach to multi-platform development, that is. "Write once and compile for various platforms without any code change", approach that Embarcadeiro follows, unfortunate to Embarcadeiro is sinning in several aspects; Such as the use of outdated language like Objective Pascal (Delphi) and C ++, not to mention that Embarcadeiro does not have a good IDE and does not have an XML-based language for defining the graphical interface. If Embarcadero places a language such as C # or Java in the Pipeline and an XML-based language for defining the…

                    • Please. Visual editor for XAML like to CorelDraw

Please. Visual editor for XAML like to CorelDraw

This is something that has been asking for a long time, please, it's past the time XAML has a complete visual editor, a decent Designer along with an interactive node based editor for animation, events and custom controls creation and realtime test and prototype

No doubt "Blend" was an excellent effort, but unfortunately "Blend" is not compatible with Xamarin.Forms, it would be great if you had a CorelDraw or Adobe XD like editor to the point where you can create custom controls and styles graphically, Of beautiful animations, that is to create…

                      • Allow ListView group/section header height size to fit content on iOS.

In Xamarin.iOS cell height now supports auto-sizing to fit the content; but the group/section header still does not.

This can now be done in iOS using the sectionHeaderHeight and estimatedSectionHeaderHeight properties of the underlying table view.

                        Please add support for this.
ListViews on Android auto-size the section header correctly.

                        • Allow installing older versions of Xamarin in Visual Studio 2017

This is needed in case of buggy Xamarin releases that happen quite often, sadly. There's no way to go back and install the previous version without downgrading entire VS2017. The way it was in VS2015 was really convenient.

The current Urho3d support seems to end at 1.3, is there a possibility this could continue to be updated to follow along with the Urho3d release stream v1.6?

                            • Please allow showing files in the editor with a single click on the solution file tree

Double clicking is a needless action, especially on Mac where a great many of us are used to Xcode. Please have an option to let a single click on a file name in the solution tree open that file in the editor.

                              • Specify a default button in Xamarin.Forms

Default buttons are as old as the hills. You know, like when you've entered your data for some form, say a sign-in page on a device with a keyboard, and you press the Enter key, how everything just works - without you needing to actually click the "Do It" button.

This suggestion is for Xamarin.Forms to let you specify a default button on a Page, so a developer can easily provide users a more productive experience.

                                  • Implement IsEnabled for ToolbarItem

I want to enable and disable toolbar items within Xamarin.Forms. There seems to be an option, but hasn't been implemented yet. See here: https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/37417/is-it-possible-to-disable-navigation-toolbar-items-in-xamarin-forms

                                        • Keep the CarouselPage. This page is the best option at the moment for displaying content pages (that are not images) that you can swipe.

Please keep the CarouselPage. This page is the best option at the moment for displaying content pages (that are not images) that you can swipe side to side. I have researched the other pages and the "at one time recommended" replacement - none of them give all of the features that the CarouselPage gives. This is good for lengthy pages with lots of labels, editors, entries etc..... You can split them up into "sections" with each "section" being a content page that you can swipe to get to.
