Licenses to support open source projects
We offer open source projects with app store compatible licenses non-commercial subscriptions to our products for the purposes of developing, testing, and maintaining compatibility with Xamarin. Active developers on established open source projects can fill out this form to apply:
Additionally, in order to help Xamarin’s open source community identify projects that could easily be made Xamarin-compatible, we’re running an "Open Source Scan and Win” contest in December. More details in the announcement:

Has there been any further action on this? Would love to see Xamarin products added to ossPerks.com

"We’re generally happy to give free licenses to established open source software projects" - is this something that we can apply for now, or do we have to wait for the formal policy?
Ryan, that sounds awesome, thanks!
BTW in case you're interested, I posted a forum thread here (http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/1529/suggestion-about-the-starter-edition) where I mention some of the advantages that this policy would give to Xamarin (wrt marketing and the like).

Yes - and do this before you offer free licenses to 4000 Sharepoint/BizTalk/etc MVPs - keep the beating heart of Xamarin close to open source

Brilliant idea. It would really help good applications find their way onto multiple platforms.
